ONLY USE DRY WOOD IN THIS STOVE

ALWAYS CLOSE THE DOOR TIGHTLY WHEN IN USE

ALWAYS PROTECT THE FIRE WITH A GUARD

This fire gets going very quickly indeed and gives a superb warmth. Some tips:

- Don’t remove the ash from inside the stove – it burns better on a layer of ash.

- The best way to light this fire is to build a small pyramid of wood around kindling and paper, OR use just one firelighter. Ensure all the wood is in the grate and not touching the glass.

- The only control you may need to adjust is the knob on a stalk at the bottom front of the stove (circled). Pull this right out for maximum air flow at the beginning; later you can control the fire by pushing it in.

- GET SOME FLAMES GOING TO START THE DRAUGHT UP THE CHIMNEY BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE DOOR (otherwise you may fill the stove with smoke!)

- If dirty, the glass may be cleaned when cold by wiping with a damp cloth dipped in some of the used wood ash. Do not use abrasives or chemicals.

The whole stove, including the handles, can become extremely hot. Always use a cloth or glove to open the door.

There is a full-fireplace guard suitable to protect children under the stairs.

Be sure to keep furniture and flammable items well away from this fire.
